Position Summary
We are seeking motivated and dedicated Residents in Counseling to join our outpatient practice. This position is ideal for post-graduate individuals who have completed their Master's degree in Counseling and are working towards full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). The Resident in Counseling will provide therapeutic services to clients under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor, gaining the necessary clinical experience and supervision hours required for licensure.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to clients with a variety of presenting concerns
Conduct clinical assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Participate in weekly individual and group supervision with a designated clinical supervisor
Adhere to all legal, ethical, and professional standards of practice (ACA Code of Ethics)
Collaborate with other members of the clinical team to ensure continuity of care
Maintain a minimum caseload as outlined in the job expectations
Complete all documentation within 24–48 hours of service delivery
Qualifications
Master's degree in Counseling from a CACREP-accredited institution
Registered as a Resident in Counseling (or equivalent) with the state licensing board
Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
